biography...
N-J first started singing and composing music at a tender young age. This blossomed into piano lessons which she undertook for 11 odd years and singing lessons before moving on to the guitar at age 16. More contemporary music was being created and she sought a stage on which to let out these musical abilities. Her first gig in front of an audience as lead vocalist playing guitar and saxaphone was at the age of 18 in her first covers band SWAG. She then moved to London and joined band The Invisibles who later became Universelle playing keyboards to begin with, then adding guitar, blues harp and general percussive instruments to her lead vocals. After 6 years there N-J moved to Brisbane and promptly joined Scatterbox who reformed into Trolley as a 3 piece, again fronting the band and playing guitar, bass guitar and the tamba.
N-J's original music saw the birth of
Valley Jones. N-J plays either solo of with band members at theatre launches, as a regular at Checochos in Brisbane's West End or anywhere there's a vibe!
